Plant Selection
We select plants appropriate to your lighting level, CO₂ system and aesthetic preference. From easy low-tech plants to demanding carpeting species, we match the flora to your setup.

- Midground: Anubias, Java fern, Buce varieties
- Background: Vallisneria, Amazon sword, stem plants

Starter Package: £850
Our planted aquarium starter package is £850 for a complete setup including tank, equipment, substrate, plants and fish. Larger tanks or high-tech CO₂ systems may carry an additional cost — we'll advise clearly.

Do I need CO₂ for a planted tank?
No — many beautiful planted tanks run without injected CO₂ using low-demand plants and liquid carbon supplements. However, CO₂ injection significantly improves plant growth and allows a wider plant selection. We'll advise based on your goals.
How often do plants need maintaining?
Planted tanks typically need trimming every 2–4 weeks depending on growth rates. Our Standard and Premium maintenance plans include plant care and trimming as standard.
Can I choose the plant species?
Absolutely. We'll discuss your aesthetic preferences during consultation and select appropriate species that suit your tank conditions and vision.
